An officer of the Buenos Aires City Police thwarted an armed robbery attempt early Friday morning at a gas station located at the intersection of Intendente Russo and General Rojo, in Gregorio Laferrere, La Matanza district.
The agent, a member of the Digital Ring Division, was off duty, dressed in civilian clothes and fueling her vehicle when she noticed a suspicious situation. According to official information, she observed that two armed criminals were riding a motorcycle and approaching a man with the intention of robbing him.
The target of the criminals was a 34-year-old man identified as Leonel Enrique González, whom they attempted to attack at gunpoint. In response to the situation, the police decided to intervene and used her service weapon to repel the attack.

The officer drew a Pietro Beretta pistol and fired five shots in the direction of the suspects. Two of the bullets struck one of the thieves, identified as Román Maximiliano Bravo, 17 years old.
