Five days after being admitted to Sanatorio Mater Dei, Mirtha Legrand continues to show favorable progress. The host had a good night, has no fever, and is in good spirits, while doctors closely monitor her response to the treatment for the respiratory condition that led to her hospitalization.

The new details about her health status were revealed this Friday on La Mañana de Lape, the program hosted by Sergio Lapegüe on América TV. From the sanatorium, the reporter shared that the diva even maintains some of her usual habits.

“Mirtha is evolving favorably, fortunately. She has no fever, had a good night. She is in good spirits,” she reported.

During the morning, Legrand requested newspapers to stay informed, just as she usually does at home. She also spoke on the phone with friends and received some visits from people in her close circle this week.

“We were told that she asked for newspapers in the morning to get informed, as is her routine if she were outside the clinic, at home. She talked on the phone with friends,” detailed the journalist.

What tests were performed on Mirtha Legrand

Despite the good progress, the professionals decided to continue monitoring before determining when she can return home.

This Friday morning, she underwent a chest X-ray and other tests to check how she responds to the treatment with medications and antibiotics.

“The doctors are evaluating. They want to see how the treatment with medications and antibiotics is progressing,” explained the program.

Mirtha was admitted to the medical center on Monday, and the first official statement from Mater Dei reported that she was experiencing a “bronchial respiratory condition”. Since then, she has been hospitalized to complete tests and continue with the prescribed treatment.

On Wednesday, the sanatorium issued a new update stating that the host was evolving favorably and without complications.

Now, the doctors hope to observe her response over the next few days before making a definitive decision.

When could Mirtha Legrand be discharged

The main news is that Mirtha Legrand could leave Sanatorio Mater Dei next Monday, as long as she maintains good progress over the weekend.

“They want to see how she evolves over the weekend. That’s why there’s a possibility that she could be discharged on Monday,” revealed the reporter.

The possibility has still not been officially confirmed by the medical team, so it will depend on the results of the latest tests and how she responds to treatment in the coming hours.
