Huerta Grande lowers municipal rates for accommodations to boost tourism

The Deliberative Council of Huerta Grande approved an ordinance aimed at providing a significant tax relief to the private sector dedicated to lodging in the mountainous region. The regulation establishes a 30% reduction in the Property Tax for licensed establishments such as hotels, inns, and cabin complexes. Additionally, the legislation includes a 10% discount benefit for those taxpayers who choose to regularize their commercial situation before August 30.

This tax cut represents a decision aimed at reducing the fiscal burden faced by tourism providers to strengthen the sector's competitiveness. By alleviating the operational costs of commercial establishments, the measure allows for the maintenance of job sources and encourages the development of the private sector. The push for lower rates seeks to consolidate a predictable administrative framework that stimulates economic activity within the Córdoba locality, in direct alignment with the national government's tax reduction policy.

The municipal initiative strategically coincides with the Operational Tourism Plan presented at the regional level to boost the economy throughout the year. The meeting included the mayor of Huerta Grande, Germán Corazza, the president of the Punilla Regional Community, Fabián Flores, and tourism advisor Pablo Sgubini. The coordinated effort aims to enhance visitor arrivals through the integration of commercial offerings and the promotion of private projects.

Regional Strategy and New Tourist Circuits

The roadmap for the region was developed alongside specialists from the Faculty of Tourism and Environment of the Provincial University of Córdoba to consolidate the offering. The regional project, initiated during the previous administration led by Fabricio Diaz, promotes an integrated, efficient, and smart tourism ecosystem. This medium and long-term planning supports the tax reduction approved in the locality to also create favorable investment conditions.

The strategy articulated by the agency seeks to position the region as a unified corridor by promoting innovative circuits to diversify tourist flow. Among the main alternatives are the Route of the Stars focused on astrotourism, the Wellness and Tourism Route, and the Orange Route. These options are aimed at stimulating the economy, enriching the cultural proposal, and boosting local ventures during the different seasons of the year.

The plan includes an active presence at national fairs along with the distribution of new promotional material projected for the upcoming summer season. The combination of a favorable tax environment and the creation of new attractions aims to maximize the performance of local tourist commerce. In this way, the fiscal measures adopted in Huerta Grande set a path to encourage private initiative and stimulate the real economy.
