After the moving letter from Lionel Messi to his father, Jorge Messi, who passed away last Saturday, August 8, at the age of 68, many came out to support the number 10 and send him support, including Javier Milei. The President of the Nation used his social media to send a message to the captain of the Argentine National Team and accompany him in the difficult moment he is going through.

"Strength, captain. Thank you for the joy and pride that, just like your dad, you gave to all Argentines. Today we embrace you and support you on the path you choose to follow", wrote the president on his personal Instagram account.

The message came hours after Messi himself broke the silence about his father's death with an extensive post in which he shared a photograph with him and expressed the pain he is experiencing. "I don't know what I'm going to do without you, I don't know how to go on", the footballer had expressed in one of the passages of his letter.

Previously, Milei had already spoken out days earlier after the news of Jorge Messi's passing. On that occasion, the president questioned those who had criticized the Argentine star throughout his career and stated: "To think that there were anti-Messi people in Argentina is embarrassing".

In the same vein, he had highlighted the captain's effort during the months leading up to the World Cup: "During these last two months, Messi sought to bring joy to the Argentine people while his father was dying and had only a few days left to live. He is the greatest human being in the history of the country".

With his new message, the President, as is customary for him, publicly supported Messi again, this time in light of the personal pain he is experiencing after the loss of his father.
