Javier Negre rounded up the owner of Radio Concepto and denounced the presence of Sputnik programs

In an attempt to defuse the scandal, businessman Daniel Sede came out to reject the accusations against him, but his statement failed to clear up the doubts that accumulate surrounding alleged Russian interference in Argentine media. “Responding to Mr. Javier Negre's malicious and fanciful press release in which he lightly, without knowing me, classifies me as a 'traitor to the fatherland', claiming that I have sold my Radio Concepto FM 95.5 radio station to the 'Soviet government', I must say: all his sayings are absolutely false,” Sede said

in a public statement.

However, far from providing concrete elements that refute the facts reported, the businessman limited himself to disqualifying the journalist: “This man, accompanied by journalist Felix Álvarez, visited the radio in 2024, I had no personal relationship with him, his invention seemed to be 'gatopardism' to obtain some personal accreditation from the national government.” The response, focused on questioning intentions and not on precisely denying the reported episodes —such as meetings, economic offers, or the presence of foreign actors—left open multiple questions about

the background of the operation.

The headquarters statements came after the resounding complaint of journalist and businessman Javier Negre, who claimed to have detected a structure of Russian interference in Argentine media in 2024, even before the case became public. “Many people ask me today how I discovered that Putin was buying media in Argentina as he did in other countries like Spain to conspire against Javier Milei. They didn't tell me by ear. I experienced it personally,” he said. Negre explained that he arrived in the country in 2024 and, after observing “the systematic corruption of the cloaked media”, decided to acquire La Derecha Diario, founded by Juan Pablo Carreira and promoted by Fernando Cerimedo, with the objective of “breaking the blockade of large companies to advertise in right-wing media”.

In his expansion, he reported that on July 27, 2024, he was contacted to evaluate the purchase of radio concept 1050am, owned by Daniel Sede: “A journalist from Casa Rosada called me and told me to go with him to 267 Maipú Street.” According to his story, a key element emerged during the negotiations: the presence of Russian-funded content in the programming.

“We held two meetings to close the operation and I told him that I had no problem maintaining some of his programs except one that was sponsored by the Russians and that had journalists from Sputnik, one of the Kremlin's official media,” he said, referring to Sputnik.

The conflict deepened when he refused to continue with that content: “he told me that couldn't be because they were paying him good money and I told him that I couldn't accept Russian propaganda.” The breaking point came in a new encounter: “when I arrived on the radio I found some enigmatic Russians”. There, according to Negre, headquarters canceled the sale after receiving a higher offer: “they decided to make him a dizzying offer well above the commercial value”. He even claimed to have seen documentation: “he put the offer papers on the table for me”. In addition, he provided a specific fact: “the person who introduced me with him even told me that they gave him a million dollars on the radio

”.

After these events, Negre claimed to have notified the authorities: “I felt obliged to tell a senior government official and to denounce it publicly.” As he indicated, some time later, presidential spokesman Manuel Adorni confirmed these maneuvers at a press conference, reinforcing official concern about foreign interference in the

media system.

In this context, Negre was categorical in defending his actions: “I'm not Argentinian, but I love this country, I bank the government of Javier Milei for his good work and I think I did the right thing to prevent Argentina from ending up like Spain with media bought by Putin or Soros that only seek to generate instability and promote the woke agenda with mass illegal immigration.” And he launched a direct accusation: “It's time to point out the traitors and here is the owner of Radio Concepto, Daniel Sede, who sold himself to the Russians. With these false patriots everything is more difficult.”

The cross between Daniel Sede and Javier Negre occurs within the framework of an investigation that detected a Russian-funded disinformation network operating in Argentina since 2024, with the publication of at least 250 paid articles in more than 20 digital media.
