The second stage of Jorge Sampaoli in Argentine football came to an end much sooner than expected. Talleres confirmed on Sunday the departure of the coach after just seven matches in charge of the team, in a cycle marked by results that did not meet expectations.

The head coach had taken over to face the Torneo Clausura, following the departure of Carlos Tévez, but only managed one victory and left the Córdoba team in last place in their zone, far from the fight for qualification to the round of 16.

The Board of Directors made the decision official through a statement in which they thanked Sampaoli and his collaborators for the work done during the brief period. The coaching staff included Pablo Fernández, Diogo Meschine Alves, Marcos Fernández, and Tadeu Meschine Alves.

Beyond the results, Talleres highlighted various aspects of the coach's time at the institution. In particular, they valued the bond he built with the players, his teamwork with the club's staff, and the boost he gave to players emerging from the youth divisions.

Additionally, the entity emphasized that it will fulfill the financial commitment made during Sampaoli's arrival. "Honoring his commitment and his word, Jorge and his Coaching Staff will be paid until their last day worked," the club stated.

The coach had returned to the country with the intention of steering Talleres during the second half of the season, but the lack of results accelerated a decision that now forces the management to seek new leadership.

For the moment, the institution has not confirmed who will be in charge of the squad in the upcoming matches, although it did anticipate that it will provide information in the coming days about the replacement and the team's continuity in the tournament.
