Brazil will face another World Cup commitment without its star player. Through an official statement, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed that Neymar will not be available for the match this Friday against Haiti and will remain in New Jersey to continue recovering from the muscle injury that kept him out of the debut against Morocco.

"Neymar will not travel with the delegation to Philadelphia. He will remain in New Jersey to optimize the final phase of his recovery process", the federation stated.

In parallel to the Canarinha's preparation for their next match, the Santos forward is continuing specific work to overcome the grade II injury he suffered in one of his calves. Over the past few days, he has alternated fieldwork with the rest of his teammates and gym sessions at the concentration hotel and at the training center used by the national team during the World Cup.

Although the Brazilian captain's recovery is progressing favorably, there is still no confirmed date for his return to competition. For this reason, the coaching staff opted to exercise caution and avoid any risk that could lead to a relapse, leaving open the question of whether he will be available for the last group stage match against Scotland.

While waiting for the definitive return of the former Barcelona player to the pitch, and after the draw in their World Cup debut against the Moroccans, the Verdeamarelha will try to earn their first three points this Friday the 19th against the Central Americans at Lincoln Financial Field. This match will be crucial for steering their qualification to the round of 16 in a Group C that currently has the Scots as leaders.
