Marcelo Polino also directly targeted the internal decision-making mechanism and questioned the influence of the channels over the awards. “The nominees are made by the Board of Directors and the channel, in this case Telefe,” he affirmed.

In that vein, he called for a profound reform within the association.

“The nominees should be made in an assembly and not have a channel dictate the nominees that suit them,” he maintained.

What he said about Luis Ventura and the presidency of APTRA

Despite his criticisms of the internal functioning of APTRA, Polino publicly defended Luis Ventura, the current president of the entity.

“I know that Luis Ventura works with honesty and I also know that there needs to be a rotation in APTRA,” he expressed.

Furthermore, he reiterated his intentions to run for the presidency in the future and demanded greater participation for the members. “When you go to vote, the people that the commission and the channel chose for those categories are already there,” he concluded.

Marcelo Polino broke the silence about the controversial election of Wanda Nara as Best Host at the Martín Fierro 2026 and launched harsh criticisms against the formation of the nominees.

The journalist assured that the nominations are not chosen by all members of APTRA, but that the decision is left in the hands of the Board of Directors and the organizing channel of the event, in this case Telefe.

In a conversation with Los Profesionales de Siempre, Polino made it clear that his questioning was not directed at Wanda Nara herself, but at the system of selecting nominees.

“Wanda didn’t put the votes in the ballot box, it’s a matter of the nominees”, the journalist stated. He explained that the real conflict lies in how the categories are formed before the final vote.

Polino denounced irregularities in the formation of the nominees

The host specifically questioned the number of nominees in the Best Host category.

“The category of host with seven people was an excessive amount. If I have the chance to be president, I will return to the real nominees,” he maintained.

Additionally, he emphasized that the regular members of APTRA do not participate in that instance.

“We, as members of APTRA, were never invited to participate in the formation of the nominees when we are supposed to be the specialists in the entertainment world,” he stated.

The strong accusation about Mirtha Legrand

One of the most explosive moments of the interview came when Polino denounced that there were requests to exclude historical figures from the nominations.

“Someone requested that Mirtha not be in the host nominees,” the journalist assured.

Nevertheless, he clarified that he does not know who would have pushed for that decision within the organization.
