Peter Parker undergoes an uncontrollable transformation
The trailer begins with Spider-Man worried about the physical changes he is experiencing. Peter feels that something inside him is mutating and that he can no longer handle his powers as he used to.
In one of the first scenes, he is seen facing Scorpion, played by Michael Mando, in a fight where he seems to lose control.
Later, Peter appears depressed in his room while watching videos of MJ and Ned on social media. Neither of them remembers his identity, deepening his emotional isolation.
Bruce Banner appears to help Spider-Man
Concerned about his own body, Peter seeks answers from Bruce Banner. The scientist explains that he uses a special device to avoid losing control and transforming into Hulk.
The conversation between them points to the central axis of the conflict: a mutation that could become the only tool capable of stopping a greater threat.

However, the preview shows that Banner's device ends up destroyed. From that point on, Hulk appears out of control and becomes a dangerous presence for the city.
Sadie Sink and the great mystery of the movie
The new trailer also shows the character played by Sadie Sink for a few seconds, although Marvel has not yet officially confirmed who she plays.
Many fans speculate that she could be Jean Grey, but for now, there is no confirmation. The preview only reveals that her character would be linked to a mental force capable of paralyzing the inhabitants of New York.

According to what is shown, Spider-Man would be the only one immune to that power thanks to his spider-sense. He would also be the only one able to detect who is being controlled by that invisible threat.
MJ is once again in danger
In another sequence, Peter reunites with MJ and Ned, although both still do not remember who he really is. The situation complicates when the threat takes control of a passerby and puts MJ at risk in front of Spider-Man.
MJ is in danger again
The preview suggests that Peter will have to protect her without fully revealing his identity. In one of the most intense scenes, he asks her to trust him before swinging away through the city.
The Punisher and The Hand also appear in the trailer
The trailer also confirms the presence of The Punisher, whom Spider-Man and MJ would seek as an ally against the new danger.
Additionally, the hero is seen facing The Hand, the ninja organization linked to the darker, street-level side of Marvel.

In that sequence, Spider-Man appears with completely black eyes, suggesting a powered-up or altered version of the character.
When does Spider-Man: Brand New Day premiere
The official synopsis states that Peter Parker tries to fight crime full-time in a world that has forgotten him. At the same time, the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him triggers a change that he may not be able to control.
When is Spider-Man: Brand New Day released
This transformation, according to Marvel, could be the only way to stop a new threat that no one can see and that endangers New York and the people Peter still loves.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will hit theaters on July 31, 2026 and is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of the new phase of the MCU
