After coming back in the match against England and qualifying for a new World Cup final, President Javier Milei celebrated the victory, praised Lionel Scaloni's team, and summed up the spirit of the win with a representative phrase of the national team: “Argentina does not give up.”

The president stated that he experienced the qualification with “immense joy” and “infinite emotion” after the 2-1 victory in the semifinals. He also particularly highlighted the team's reaction after starting the match at a disadvantage.

“I had the confidence that I knew we could turn it around. After their goal, Argentina took control, they overwhelmed them,” Milei affirmed during an interview with Radio Mitre.

The President maintained that the result came after a clear superiority of the Argentine team and considered that, during several passages of the match, the situation was unfair given the number of opportunities created. He also praised the decisions made from the bench and described the changes made by Scaloni as “very precise” and “very correct.”

Milei also dedicated a special recognition to Lionel Messi, who was once again decisive in a crucial match. The Argentine captain participated in the play of the second goal, scored by Lautaro Martínez, which secured the team's passage to the decisive match of the tournament.

According to the head of state, Messi once again demonstrated his class in a moment of maximum demand and finished settling one of the few “pending subjects” that some still attributed to him with the Argentine jersey.

The president also highlighted the work of Scaloni, the coaching staff, and the entire squad, thanking them for the “enormous joys” they have brought to the country over the past years. For Milei, the team once again displayed character, the ability to react, and confidence to turn around an adverse scenario.

When asked about the historical significance of the match against England, the President requested to separate the sports result from the issue of the Falkland Islands. “It’s a football match,” he pointed out, and maintained that the recovery of sovereignty must be achieved through “wise diplomacy.”

Looking ahead to a potential victory, Milei reiterated that the Casa Rosada will be available to the National Team if the players decide to celebrate there with the Argentines. The Government is already preparing the necessary arrangements for the celebration to be led by the players and the people, without political interference.
