After ending his participation in the Formula 2 early, Nicolás Varrone now has his next challenge ahead. This weekend, the Argentine will race in Petit Le Mans, the traditional 10-hour race that will take place at the Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Georgia, marking the end of the 2026 IMSA season.
The uniqueness of this type of competition is that several drivers share the same car and take turns at the wheel throughout the race. On this occasion, the native of Ingeniero Maschwitz will rejoin Pratt Miller Motorsports to drive the Corvette Z06 GT3.R number 4 alongside Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg, while the Corvette No. 3 of the team will be driven by Antonio García, Alexander Sims, and Marvin Kirchhöfer.
The return will also have an important objective for the team. The Corvette No. 4 arrives at the final event as the championship leader of the GTD PRO class, with a 47-point lead over the BMW No. 1 of Paul Miller Racing, which has drivers Neil Verhagen and Connor De Phillippi.
The Argentine himself expressed his enthusiasm through his social media: "Petit Le Mans this weekend! Back in the Corvette Z06 GT3 for the IMSA championship finale with Pratt Miller Motorsports. Happy to return with this group for these legendary 10 hours and help them secure the title!".
The competition will start on Saturday, October 3 at 1 PM (Argentina time) and will last for ten hours. In total, Petit Le Mans will bring together the GTP, LMP2, GTD PRO (in which Varrone competes) and GTD categories.
