The Kirchnerist union leader Pablo Moyano surprised everyone today by openly rejecting the incorporation of artificial intelligence in the labor sector in Argentina, despite acknowledging that it is a process that is difficult to stop.

During an interview on a radio program on FM Futurock, the leader of the Truckers' Union expressed his rejection of technological advancement.

“Well, we reject it, of course. No one can be eh or doubt that this is the advancement that is coming, right? In some logistics companies in our sector, robots or new work methodologies are appearing,” he stated.

Pablo Moyano rejected artificial intelligence and warned that trade unionism will seek to curb it.

The statements reflect a critical stance towards technological development, in a global context where automation is steadily advancing, driving economic growth and welfare.

The leader emphasized that the priority of his sector is to prevent job losses, even if that means defending a more inefficient model: “What we have not allowed is layoffs of workers, but well, it is an advancement that I don’t know how it will be able to be stopped, right? The issue is that it does not impact work.”

"In Europe, there are even trucks that are eh without drivers. It’s crazy to think that it wouldn’t reach our country. But unfortunately, well, it will be up to each union organization how they will defend their workers,” he warned.

The union leader's words come in a scenario where Artificial Intelligence is consolidating as a key tool to improve productivity and transform entire industries, which contrasts with positions that seek to limit its implementation for fear of its labor effects.

In addition to the technological debate, the leader pointed out the internal conflicts within Peronism. “Unfortunately, they are busy, in the PJ, with cheap internal disputes that serve no one. Today I don’t see people falling in love again or waiting for a figure to get us out of this disaster that Milei is leaving us,” he concluded.

Moyano's statements expose not only the resistance of union sectors to technological innovation but also the internal tensions of Kirchnerism within the political sphere.
