PlayStation Plus Premium added a new addition to its catalog for November 2026. The package includes the remastered campaigns of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, two titles from the shooting saga set in a post-apocalyptic world.

The update arrived without an official announcement from Sony or Deep Silver. Subscribers to the Premium tier can access the two games at no additional cost, while the PS4 edition was already available in the service's catalog.

What Metro Redux includes in PS Plus Premium

Metro Redux brings together the remastered versions of:

  • Metro 2033: the first installment of Artyom's story.

  • Metro: Last Light: the continuation of the adventure within the post-apocalyptic universe of the franchise.

The package has a regular price of US$ 29.99, but PS Plus Premium members can try it at no additional cost within the subscription. The addition corresponds to the native PS5 version, which was released at the end of October.

The updated edition offers technical improvements and new features for Sony's console:

  • 4K resolution at 60 FPS.

  • Visual enhancements in lighting and particle effects.

  • On PS5 Pro, 4K resolution upscaled to 120 FPS and PSSR compatibility.

  • Compatibility with the adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller.

  • Energy-saving mode.

    Additionally, those who already have Metro Redux for PS4 can download the PS5 upgrade for free.

    How Metro Redux relates to Metro 2039

    The addition of the two games also allows players to learn about the events leading up to Metro Exodus. The stories of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light present the post-apocalyptic context of the saga and Artyom's journey.

    The next installment, Metro 2039, is scheduled for release on February 4, 2027. In this new story, Artyom will no longer be the protagonist: players will take on the role of Stranger, who must confront the fascist regime of Novoreich.

    The upcoming game will also bring back elements from previous installments, such as the Karma system. In this context, Metro Redux allows players to familiarize themselves with the mechanics and universe of the franchise before the arrival of the new chapter.

    The addition of Metro Redux came after PlayStation Plus enabled three monthly games on November 3:
