The Renault Kwid 2027 received a renewal that mainly modifies its interior and adds technology. The city car retains the 1.0 three-cylinder engine and the same general structure.

The update also extends to the equipment, and some versions incorporate new features. The presentation took place in Brazil, where the model surpassed 500,000 units sold.

What changes in the design of the Renault Kwid 2027

The Renault Kwid 2027 maintains practically the same proportions and structure. The main exterior modifications are concentrated in the front section.

The city car debuts a new bumper and a glossy black grille, aligned with the current design language of Renault.

All versions incorporate LED daytime running lights and a shark fin antenna. At the rear, the lights add clear lenses and black masks.

Additionally, the rearview camera is integrated into the Renault emblem. The Outsider version adds a two-tone roof, new graphics, exterior protections, and 14-inch diamond alloy wheels.

The biggest renewal of the Renault Kwid 2027 appears inside the cabin. The dashboard has been redesigned and now incorporates two screens located side by side.

The instrument cluster uses a 7-inch TFT display, while the floating multimedia screen grows to 10.1 inches.

The central Media Evolution, shared with the Renault Kardian, adds wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The system also allows for checking various data related to consumption and driving.

The Techno version adds a new multifunction steering wheel with audio controls and two USB-C ports for passengers.

Renault also modified the materials and finishes. Although rigid plastic continues to dominate, there are now new textures, colors, and upholstery.

The Renault Kwid Techno offers seats with blue fabric and three-dimensional patterns. The Outsider, on the other hand, combines fabric with a synthetic material that resembles neoprene.

What engine does the Renault Kwid 2027 have

The renewal of the Renault Kwid 2027 does not include mechanical changes. The model retains the 1.0 SCe three-cylinder engine, with a five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.

In Brazil, the engine delivers 71 hp and 10 kgm of torque with ethanol. With gasoline, it develops 68 hp and 9.4 kgm.

According to Inmetro data, the Kwid achieves a consumption of up to 14.4 km/l in the city and 15.4 km/l on the highway with gasoline.
