The Telefe host spoke about the criticisms received regarding the season of Big Brother: Golden Generation, rejected the accusations of favoritism, and explained how the voting system of the reality show works
The latest edition of Big Brother: Golden Generationsparked all kinds of debates among the show's followers. Throughout the season, criticisms were directed at both the development of the game and the production's decisions, while Santiago del Moro also found himself at the center of attention due to the questions he received on social media.
In light of this situation, the host decided to respond publicly and clarify several of the topics that generated the most controversy among reality fans.
During an episode of The Summit, the show he hosts on Streams Telefe, Del Moro reflected on the differences between the various seasons of the program and stated that each one ended up reflecting the social moment in which it took place.

"The nice thing is that the four we've done have been totally different. It's like Big Brother goes hand in hand with what society is experiencing and the context in which it happens", he assured.
In that sense, he explained why he believes that Big Brother: Golden Generation was a different edition from the previous ones. "This season is atypical because the three previous winners were correct and hegemonic kids", he stated.
What he said about the accusations of favoritism
One of the main complaints from the show's followers was related to suspicions of favoritism towards some participants. In response to these claims, Del Moro denied that the production has any influence on the results and explained how the public votes are counted. "If you don't believe in this, it doesn't work; you have to like it. I get involved with them in the house", he expressed.
He then acknowledged that, after each elimination gala, he often becomes the target of criticism. "You have to be prepared because in each elimination gala, someone gets angry with you, because they think you take the envelope and say: 'So-and-so is leaving'. People don't understand that there's a company that handles the votes", he pointed out.
The participants of the new season
The host also took the opportunity to explain the procedure followed in each decision and debunk the claims against the show's production.
"When they think about the votes and say 'the production, the production', the production has nothing to do with the votes. That's done by a separate company, and there's a notary who brings you an envelope with a result", he detailed.
Finally, he made it clear that many times the outcome does not align with his personal preferences either.
"If it were up to me, there are a lot of players who are outside who would be inside and vice versa. Ultimately, what the public says is what matters", he concluded.
