This Tuesday, six F-16 fighter jets from the second batch acquired by the Government of Javier Milei took off from Denmark to begin the ferry flight to Argentine territory.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Defense, led by Carlos Pestri, who confirmed that the units of the Fighting Falcon series have already begun their transfer and will soon be incorporated into the Argentine Air Force.
Through its official channels, the Defense Ministry described the operation as a new historic milestone for the Armed Forces and stated: “Another historic day for our Defense. The second batch of F-16 Fighting Falcons from our Air Force took off from Denmark to begin the ferry flight to Argentina.”
The aircraft will need to complete a journey over the Atlantic before arriving in the country. The Ministry of Defense added: “It is a long journey over the Atlantic, with a clear destination. To reach our country and continue incorporating capabilities for a modern, prepared Air Force that meets the challenges of National Defense.”
When will the new F-16s arrive
The six aircraft are already in flight towards Argentina. According to official information, their arrival is expected for the upcoming weekend, between September 26 and 28, at the Río Cuarto Material Area in the province of Córdoba.
