The measure will be in effect until July 25 and aims to restore communications in the hardest-hit areas. In the midst of a disaster of this magnitude, recovering connectivity would allow for coordinating rescues, facilitating humanitarian assistance, and keeping affected families in touch.

The company also confirmed that users who had previously canceled their service will receive an automatic credit, allowing them to reactivate their connection at no cost during the established period. This is a key decision to quickly expand access to the service in a situation where traditional telecommunications infrastructure has been severely compromised.
In addition to free access, Starlink announced that it is working to accelerate the deployment of satellite terminals in the most affected areas. “We are also working to quickly implement Starlink terminals and restore connectivity in the hardest-hit areas,” the company emphasized while communicating its support to the affected communities.

For new users located in the areas affected by the emergency, the company explained that they will need to purchase the corresponding kit and then contact customer service to access the free benefit until July 25. Additionally, those who have suffered damage to their equipment as a result of the earthquakes can request a replacement at no cost through technical support.
