After Senegal's participation in the 2026 World Cup, the president of the Senegalese Football Federation, Abdoulaye Fall, made a statement that surprised the football community.
During a press conference, the official stated that the head doctor of the national team, Dr. Fedior, did not have the appropriate specialization to perform that role, as his professional training corresponds to the field of gynecology and obstetrics.
According to Fall, the professional was part of the medical staff of the national team for approximately ten years and also participated in the delegation that competed in the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
The federation president maintained that several team members expressed doubts about the medical care received during the competition.
