The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Monday that negotiations with Iran are “going very well” and publicly called for several Middle Eastern countries to join the Abraham Accords, the historic diplomatic pact promoted during his first term to normalize relations between Israel and Arab nations.

In a lengthy message posted on Truth Social, Trump maintained that he seeks to consolidate a new regional architecture based on economic cooperation, political stability, and strategic alliances between the United States, Israel, and the Arab world.

Trump assured that talks with Iran are progressing

The American leader noted that Washington is having positive discussions with the Iranian regime, although he made it clear that he will only accept an agreement under favorable conditions for the United States and its allies.

“Negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are going very well,” Trump wrote.

However, he warned that a potential diplomatic failure would have severe consequences.

“It will be a great deal for everyone or no deal at all. If it fails, we will return to the battlefield and to the shooting, but bigger and stronger than ever,” he stated.

The U.S. president wants to expand the Abraham Accords

Trump also revealed that during conversations held on Saturday with leaders from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Pakistan, he proposed that all these countries simultaneously adhere to the Abraham Accords.

Among the mentioned leaders are Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

According to Trump, the expansion of the agreement would completely transform regional stability and strengthen economic growth in the Middle East.

Trump even proposed including Iran

One of the most striking points of the message was Trump’s suggestion to even incorporate Iran into the regional pact if Tehran ultimately signs an agreement with Washington.

“It would be an honor to have Iran as part of this unprecedented global coalition,” he stated.

The statement represents a significant shift from previous years when relations between Washington and Tehran were marked by heavy sanctions, military threats, and regional tensions.

Saudi Arabia appears as a key player

Trump considered that Saudi Arabia and Qatar should lead the next stage of the Abraham Accords and warned that those who refuse to participate could be sidelined from future regional understandings.

“If they don’t, they shouldn’t be part of this agreement because that would show bad intentions,” he wrote.

For years, Saudi Arabia has been seen as the crucial piece needed to definitively consolidate the diplomatic normalization process between Israel and the Arab world.

The Abraham Accords and the new geopolitical map

The Abraham Accords were originally signed in 2020 under U.S. mediation and allowed for the restoration of diplomatic relations between Israel and countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan.

The pact represented one of the greatest diplomatic advances in the Middle East in decades and solidified regional alignment against common threats such as Islamist terrorism and Iranian expansion.

Trump emphasized that the countries already participating in the agreement have experienced strong economic and financial growth since their incorporation.

“The Middle East would be united, powerful, and economically strong like perhaps no other region in the world,” he asserted.

The leader also defined this potential expansion as “the most important agreement” that the countries in the region could sign in their entire history.
