A violent picket carried out by the Polo Obrero resulted in a complete traffic blockage on the Pueyrredón Bridge, affecting thousands of people.

The situation was worsened by an outrageous and deplorable judicial decision that prohibited security forces from clearing the bridge, in a ruling that faced strong criticism for allowing the blockage of a key traffic route and the commission of a crime.

The demonstration, led by Eduardo Belliboni, took place in commemoration of the 24th anniversary of the case of Maximiliano Kosteki and Darío Santillán.

Since noon, far-left protesters gathered at the access connecting Avellaneda with the City of Buenos Aires, causing significant delays and long lines of vehicles.

The judicial ruling ordered the Ministry of National Security to instruct the forces to refrain from carrying out “acts of harassment, blockage, or dispersal” in front of the planned activities in the area of the Darío Santillán and Maximiliano Kosteki train station and on the Pueyrredón Bridge itself.

The ruling, signed by the kirchnerist judges Roberto Lemos Arias and Carlos Vallefín, overturned a first-instance decision and was based on the protection of "rights" related to "freedom of expression." In this sense, the judges deemed it necessary to block the road and commit a crime.

As a result, the measure had a direct impact on traffic and left security forces without effective tools to prevent the total blockage of the bridge. In practice, the judicial order prevented intervention in response to a protest that led to the complete paralysis of one of the main accesses to the Federal Capital.

The outcome was a scene of vehicular chaos, with thousands of motorists stranded for hours and serious complications for those trying to travel between the province of Buenos Aires and the City.

Meanwhile, security forces remained near the site with a limited deployment, unable to do their job due to the order from the kirchnerist judges.

The episode generated strong criticism regarding the role of the Justice system in such situations, especially when rulings end up enabling blockades and allowing the commission of crimes.
