Benjamín Vicuña felt uncomfortable when Mirtha asked him about his relationship with Pampita and China Suárez
“The most important thing, truly, is the well-being of the kids. I had children with two women, and we find a way to have a healthy team, so that the children can have the best possible environment”, Vicuña stated.
Benjamín Vicuña starred in one of the most awkward moments of La Noche de Mirtha when the host surprised him with a direct question: what is his relationship like today with Carolina "Pampita" Ardohain and Eugenia "la China" Suárez, the mothers of his children.
Before getting to the topic that generated tension at the table, the actor explained why he decided to settle permanently in Argentina. “I moved here for my children. I live half a block from the school and half a block from a clinic. I understood that my life is here, my soul is at peace”, he expressed.
Without beating around the bush, Mirtha went straight to the point: “And do you get along well with your exes?”, she inquired. Vicuña tried to respond from the role of a father and highlighted the challenge that shared parenting entails.
“I think we have a very difficult task, which is raising children. Today, dads are much more present than in other generations. Each child has a number of activities, and that means many responsibilities associated with parenting and education”, the actor explained.
However, Mirtha pressed on with another direct question: “Do you have a good relationship with them? Do you talk or not?”, she wanted to know.
After a few seconds of hesitation, Vicuña answered honestly: “I talk to them… Many will understand this. One, at times, dissociates and manages to talk about what needs to be talked about. There are possibly better scenarios. There are others, but this is what I have”.
With smiles, the actor moved past the awkward moment and confirmed that he is experiencing a great romantic present with his partner, Anita Espasandín, with whom he has been in a relationship for three years.
