The complaint points out inconsistencies in the accountability report and still requires clarifications from the TCE

The National Electoral Council (CNE) reported Luisa González and Andrés Arauz to the Electoral Contentious Tribunal (TCE) for alleged inconsistencies in the accountability of the 2023 early elections.

The president of the CNE, Diana Atamaint, also included Estefanía Molina and Santiago Díaz in the complaint, who are responsible for the economic and campaign management of the political movement, respectively.

According to the document, the accused allegedly failed to comply with Article 281, numeral 1 of the Democracy Code, related to the submission of complete reports on contributions, income, expenses, and donors.

Santiago Díaz, who is imprisoned and has been called to trial for alleged rape of a minor, is one of those named in the case, while the complaint against Luisa González and Arauz is still pending acceptance.

Judge Guillermo Ortega ordered that the complaint be clarified and completed; if this is not fulfilled, the case will be archived according to established procedures.

In the 2023 early elections, González and Arauz formed the presidential ticket for the Citizen Revolution, a scenario in which the alleged irregularities would have occurred.
