Alex Vindman, the key architect of the impeachment farce that the Democrats staged against Trump during his first term in 2019, suffered a harsh defeat in the Florida Democratic primaries against a communist candidate named Angie Nixon despite having raised over 20 million dollars in donations for his political campaign.
The president celebrated the defeat of the retired Army colonel in the Democratic primary for the Senate in Florida and called for him to be investigated by the Justice Department.
"The most gratifying defeat last night was that of a truly repulsive traitor, Alexander Vindman, against a radical left lunatic who cannot speak or think properly, and who will go straight to a certain defeat at the hands of Ashley Moody, a truly fantastic senator from the great state of Florida", Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
"Vindman, if you remember, was the one who lied about my 'Perfect Call' with President [Volodymyr] Zelenskyy of Ukraine, only to find out that the conversation was routinely recorded and proved that I was 100% right (completely innocent!). It was, in fact, a perfect call, and the Democrats' false impeachment effort failed spectacularly", the president added.

During the impeachment process in Congress, the now-failed Democratic Senate candidate testified that he considered a phone call that Trump had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July 2019 to be inappropriate, during which the president asked his Ukrainian counterpart to investigate the corruption and shady dealings of Joe Biden and his criminal son, Hunter Biden, in that country.
In that investigation, the opposition falsely accused Trump of withholding nearly 400 million dollars in military aid to Ukraine. The House of Representatives, with a Democratic majority at the time, condemned the Republican leader on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, but the Senate acquitted him of both charges in February 2020.
