The government of President Donald Trump ordered a new escalation of the military offensive against the Iranian regime, while the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the start of the third consecutive night of attacks aimed at weakening the military capacity of the Iranian regime and protecting international navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement released this Monday, CENTCOM reported that operations began at 4:45 p.m. under direct instructions from the Commander-in-Chief, Donald Trump. The military institution noted that the bombings are part of a sustained campaign to reduce the offensive capacity of Iranian forces and prevent new attacks against civilians and commercial vessels transiting one of the world's most important maritime routes.

U.S. authorities maintained that operations will continue as long as necessary to impose an increasing cost on the Iranian military apparatus. According to CENTCOM, the offensive aims to degrade the capabilities used by Tehran to threaten international shipping and jeopardize the stability of the Persian Gulf.

Shortly before the official announcement, Trump anticipated that the United States would maintain military pressure on the Iranian regime in the coming hours. In an interview, the president assured that U.S. forces would launch high-intensity attacks during the night of Monday and the day of Tuesday.

''We will hit Iran very hard,'' stated the U.S. president, who defended the need to respond firmly to Tehran's actions. Donald Trump also asserted that the Iranian regime lacks the capacity to stop the military response from the United States and harshly criticized its leaders for maintaining a confrontational policy that, in his view, has endangered regional security for years.

As the United States was developing the new offensive, reports began to emerge from Iranian territory about possible impacts. A semi-official Iranian news agency reported that two explosions were heard on Kish Island, located in the Persian Gulf, although it did not specify the causes or report any casualties or material damage.

Shortly thereafter, another local news agency indicated that explosions were also recorded on Qeshm Island, another strategic location situated near the Strait of Hormuz. Both islands have considerable military and logistical importance due to their proximity to the main corridor through which a significant portion of the world's oil and gas trade flows.

In addition to the air campaign, Washington announced the reinstatement of the naval blockade on maritime traffic related to Iran. CENTCOM confirmed that the measure will come into effect again this Tuesday at 4:00 p.m., also by direct instruction from President Trump.

The military command explained that U.S. forces will intercept vessels attempting to enter or leave Iranian ports in violation of the restrictions imposed by Washington. At the same time, it clarified that vessels that comply with the established rules will be able to continue navigating without issues, especially those dedicated to legitimate commercial transport and humanitarian assistance.

U.S. authorities urged shipping companies to remain alert to official notices and maintain constant communication with naval forces deployed in the Gulf of Oman and the vicinity of the Strait of Hormuz to ensure safe navigation.

The Trump administration considers these measures necessary to prevent the Iranian regime from continuing to use the Strait of Hormuz as an instrument of international pressure. Before the current crisis began, approximately one-fifth of the oil traded in the world passed through that maritime corridor, making any alteration of its security a matter of global economic impact.

CENTCOM recalled that during the previous phase of the naval blockade, conducted between April and June, U.S. forces diverted more than 140 vessels, neutralized nine ships that violated the established restrictions, and allowed the passage of more than fifty vessels carrying humanitarian aid.

In parallel, the military command reported that the United States employed maritime drones in combat operations for the first time. According to the statement, these systems were used to attack a submarine and vessel maintenance center located at the Iranian naval base of Bandar Abbas, considered one of the country's main military installations.

Additionally, CENTCOM assured that over the weekend, U.S. forces attacked nearly 140 targets linked to the Iranian military apparatus using a combination of fighter jets, armed drones, and naval units.

The new offensive comes after Donald Trump declared the ceasefire agreement reached on June 17 to be over, arguing that Iran continued to promote attacks against vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. In response, the Iranian regime launched attacks against several U.S. allied countries in the Middle East, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, all with U.S. military presence.
