Upon learning that the US Army had conducted in 2016 an experiment that aerosolized the lethal Ebola virus —which is not normally transmitted through the air— amid an active outbreak in Africa, Democratic physician Anthony Fauci ordered it to be concealed.
This is evidenced by diary entries obtained and published by the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, Rand Paul. At that time, Fauci —who was the chief scientist at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases—did not want the Army's experiment to come to light, which showed that aerosol exposure to Ebola caused more harmful effects in subjects who had been vaccinated.
Fauci wrote that he believed that this type of research should be kept secret and classified in order to continue vaccinating in African countries suffering from an outbreak of the virus, a position identical to the one he adopted during his tenure as health chief during the Covid pandemic in 2020, when he decided to ignore the risks of the vaccine and urged the population to get vaccinated en masse.
"What idiots those guys at USAMRIID [U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases] are," Fauci wrote in his March 2016 diary. "This should have been a classified experiment that should never have been conducted in the first place [...] Now I have to talk tomorrow with the NSC [National Security Council] to clean up the mess and explain why this is an irrelevant experiment," continued the Biden official.
