The Senate again backed Trump and rejected limiting presidential war powers in the war against Iran

The United States Senate rejected a resolution on Thursday to limit President Donald Trump's war powers regarding the war in Iran. The vote ended 47 to 49, with only one Republican —establishment senator Susan Collins— voting with the Democrats.

For his part, Democratic Senator John Fetterman left the Democratic bloc and voted with the Republicans, while Republican senators Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowski were absent for the vote. The bill regarding Trump's war powers came from the House of Representatives, which voted earlier today in favor of the measure by 214 votes to 208.

According to CBS News, there were four traitorous Republican congressmen who voted with the opposition to approve the measure that hindered Trump's military powers: Barrett, Fitzpatrick, Davidson, and the already known Thomas Massie.

Trump's offensive in Iran continues

The resolution was led by leftist senator Chris Van Hollen from Maryland, and ordered the president to "withdraw the Armed Forces of the United States from hostilities within or against Iran, unless explicitly authorized by a declaration of war or a specific authorization for the use of military force."

Earlier this month, the truce between the US and Iran negotiated by mediators Qatar and Pakistan collapsed after the Iranian terrorist regime attacked commercial vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz with missiles and drones and launched attacks against bases in Jordan, in clear violation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

On Wednesday night, the US military completed its twelfth consecutive night of attacks against Iran. Since the war broke out in the region in February, the country has mourned the combat deaths of 18 of its servicemen.
