The US government published information about the emergence of the virus, the role of international organizations, and health decisions during the pandemic
The Government of Donald Trump launched an official page this Wednesday aimed at presenting “the true origins of COVID-19.”
The site, COVID.GOV, was launched with content confirming that the virus originated from a laboratory leak in China and gathers information about the development of the pandemic, the actions of international organizations, and decisions regarding health policy under the administration of Joe Biden.
The page explains that the article titled “The Near Origin of SARS-CoV-2” was used by public health officials and left-wing media to discredit the lab leak theory.
In this regard, it is stated that the work “was pushed by Anthony Fauci to promote the preferred narrative that COVID-19 originated naturally.”
All the information shared on the website came from a report conducted by the United States Congress on the origin of the virus.

The Origin of Covid
The site lists five central points. First, it states that “the virus has a biological feature not found in nature.”
It also notes that “data shows that all COVID-19 cases originate from a single transmission to humans,” unlike previous pandemics. Additionally, it mentions that Wuhan hosts “the main SARS research laboratory in China,” with a history of gain-of-function research with inadequate biosafety levels.
Furthermore, it claims that researchers from the Wuhan Institute of Virology exhibited symptoms compatible with COVID-19 in the fall of 2019, before the official detection of the virus, and adds that “according to almost all scientific criteria, if there were evidence of a natural origin, it would have already come to light. But that has not been the case.”
In another section, the site raises questions about gain-of-function research and states that “a laboratory-related incident involving gain-of-function research is the most likely origin of COVID-19.”
It also points out that government mechanisms to oversee such studies “are incomplete, highly complex, and lack global applicability.”
Donald Trump and Anthony Fauci
The page also targets the organization EcoHealth Alliance Inc, led by Dr. Peter Daszak, noting that it used U.S. taxpayer funds to facilitate research in Wuhan.
According to the published content, after violations of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant terms were detected, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) initiated a disqualification process and suspended its funding. It is also mentioned that the Department of Justice opened an investigation into its activities during the pandemic.
The site includes criticisms of the NIH, whose procedures were “deficient, unreliable, and pose a serious threat to both public health and national security.” It also mentions actions by officials such as Dr. David Morens and Marge Moore regarding information management.
In the political and institutional realm, the website states that the HHS under the Biden administration carried out “a multi-year campaign of delay, confusion, and lack of response” to obstruct legislative investigations. It also accuses EcoHealth and its president of obstructing access to information and making false statements before Congress.

The Failure of the WHO
The content extends to criticisms of the World Health Organization, whose response to the pandemic was “a resounding failure,” in addition to yielding to pressures from the Chinese Communist Party.
It also questions health measures adopted during the emergency, such as social distancing, mask mandates, and quarantines, stating that they lacked scientific support or generated negative impacts.
In the case of New York, it mentions the March 25 order from former Governor Andrew Cuomo, which required nursing homes to accept COVID-19 patients, and claims that his administration attempted to cover up its serious consequences.
Finally, the site asserts that during the pandemic there was “disinformation” from public health officials, who issued contradictory messages and worked to discredit hypotheses such as the lab leak.
It also claims that the Biden administration resorted to “blatant censorship” through collaboration with social media companies to limit the dissemination of dissenting opinions.
With this redesign, Covid.gov positions itself as an official platform that gathers real information about the true origin of COVID-19 and the management of the pandemic, in a context of international debate about its causes and consequences.
