In addition, he highlighted the bond with the fans: “I also want to thank the fans and La Familia, because none of this would have been possible without them”. And he closed with a phrase full of emotion: “I will always carry with me the memory of our first star, and wherever I am, I will continue to wish the Club all the best in the future. I have no doubt that the Club will continue to achieve success. I send a big hug to everyone and thank you for everything.”

From the management, managing owner Jorge Mas supported the decision and valued his time at the club: “Javier will always be part of the history of this Club and will occupy a special place in the Inter Miami CF family. Not only because he was a key player in unforgettable achievements, such as the conquest of the MLS Cup and the team's historic performance in the Club World Cup, but also because of the example he set with his dedication and daily work at the head of the team. We respect his decision and we deeply thank him for everything he brought, wishing him all the best in his professional and personal future
