The newspaper La Nación published a false report today stating that different officials of the Government of Javier Milei had traveled to New York on the presidential plane, as part of the event Argentina Week. After the strong criticism received, the media ended up deleting the note

.

The controversy escalated when the Director of Digital Communication of the Presidency, Juan Pablo Carreira, known on social networks as “Juan Doe”, came out to respond publicly to the publication.

The official harshly questioned the lies spread by the media and wrote in his account: “Totally false, fearless sons of a whore.”

After the controversy generated by the content of the note, the media ended up deleting the publication, based on false data regarding the alleged use of the presidential plane by some officials for the trip to the United States.

Later, Carreira spoke again on social networks to explain the details of his presence at the successful and historic international event, which aimed to promote investments for Argentina. In his message, he highlighted the development of the meeting and the role of the organizers.

Carreira's message

“Tremendous event at Argentina Week. The organization of Alec Oxenford, the GIGA Ambassador we have in the United States, is truly remarkable, and I applaud all the officials and colleagues who spoke to tell the most important businessmen in the world (literally) how Milei's new Argentina is in the making. I experienced it firsthand because I was invited by the organization of the event,” he wrote

in X. In the same message, the official also clarified that his trip was not funded by the State, since he did not participate as an exhibitor in official activities. As he explained, the transfer and the living expenses were covered with his own money

“I want to clarify to all the shitty journalists that since I wasn't an exhibitor, the Government paid me absolutely nothing and I paid for the entire trip out of my pocket: I traveled alone, by plane and I paid for my flight (I traveled with Delta Air Lines as a Tourist) and I paid for the hotel (I stayed at the Courtyard Inn),” he

said.

In his statement, Carreira also questioned the actions of the journalists who spread false information. In addition, he argued that the controversy occurs in a context in which the international event achieved historic investments for

the country.

“The motherfuckers of journalists, who have nothing to talk about because Argentina is doing well for the first time in 30 years, invent anything to boycott what was a spectacular event that has already confirmed investments of more than 15 billion dollars,” he explained about the event.

The official also crossed paths with the socialist deputy Esteban Paulón, who denounced Carreira in an unusual way: “And to the conchudo of Esteban Paulon: denounce me in peace and quiet because with all the nonsense you've been saying I do shit to you in justice.”
