Agustín Canobbio referred to River's interest in adding it: 'It's a pride to notice me'

While defining objectives in the Apertura Tournament and the Copa Sudamericana, River is already starting to move ahead of the next pass market and added a new name to the list of candidates to reinforce the squad: Agustín Canobbio. The Uruguayan left winger, currently in Fluminense, was contacted by Eduardo Coudet and did not hide his enthusiasm in the face of the million-dollar

interest.

“I'm proud that River looks at me. They're looking at my work, my football. It is a great pride because I have been doing things well and beautiful things are coming,” said the striker after the Flu match against Independente Rivadavia for the

Copa Libertadores.

The 28-year-old also left the door open to landing in Argentine football, something that has not yet happened in his career. “At some point it can happen. My dad has played in Argentina before and he loves Argentine football, he's passionate,” he

said.

Along the same lines, he valued the possibility of contact from the management: “If Enzo (Franchescoli) ever calls me, it's another source of pride”. However, he lowered the tone of expectation and remarked on his present: “We'll see, I don't know. First I have Fluminense, which is all I have to think about and work on

The interest in Canobbio is no accident. El Chacho is looking for a player who gives him hierarchy in the attack and considers him a key player to achieve it in the second half of the year. Coudet himself even contacted the player personally to express his desire to add him
