President Javier Milei will receive Pope Leo XIV at the foot of the plane when the Supreme Pontiff lands at Aeroparque, as part of his anticipated official visit to Argentina. This was confirmed by the Secretary of Worship of the Nation, Agustín Caulo, during an interview with Eduardo Feinmann, in which he also announced that the Government is considering broadcasting some moments of the visit through a national chain so that all Argentinians can follow them.
The confirmation represents one of the most important details in organizing the Pope's arrival, which generates enormous expectations both in the Government and in Argentine society. As Caulo explained, the official agenda has already been confirmed by the Vatican and has not undergone any changes, so the planned activities to welcome the Holy Father remain in place.
"The President will receive Pope Leo XIV at the foot of the plane," assured the official, who expressed his enthusiasm for the event and highlighted the Government's intention to share it with all Argentinians.
Milei will receive Pope Leo XIV at Aeroparque
According to what the Secretary of Worship explained, the plane carrying the Pope will arrive at Aeroparque from Uruguay, the first stop on his tour of the region. Once on Argentine soil, Leo XIV will be personally welcomed by Javier Milei, in an institutional gesture that will mark the beginning of his visit to the country.
Caulo also announced that the Government is considering using the national chain to broadcast some of the most significant moments of the papal agenda, especially those instances in which the President accompanies the Pontiff.
"There are very significant moments during the visit," explained the official, who noted that the intention is for all Argentinians to enjoy those encounters.
Although the possibility is still under evaluation, the initiative aims to give a national dimension to a historic event for the country, which will once again receive a Pope after several decades.

Caulo also detailed the first activities that Leo XIV will have after landing at Aeroparque.
The first stop will be the monument to the Liberator General José de San Martín, located in the square in front of the San Martín Palace, where the Pope will make a floral offering in tribute to the Argentine national hero.
