Spain began preparations for the final of the 2026 World Cup against the Argentine National Team with a concern that quickly captured everyone's attention. Lamine Yamal, the standout player of Luis de la Fuente's squad, did not participate in training alongside his teammates and performed differentiated work due to a muscle discomfort.

The 19-year-old winger had finished with discomfort in the 2-0 victory over France, a match in which he forced the penalty that opened the scoring and created constant problems for the opposing defense. According to reports, the young Barcelona player suffered a strain in his left thigh that began to be treated by physiotherapists as soon as the delegation returned to the hotel.

In the first practice held in New Jersey, the Blaugrana player was seen with a bandage on his left leg. He did not participate in group exercises and was limited to performing rehabilitation tasks on a mat, as well as myofascial release work with a foam roller.

Despite the initial concern, the Spanish team remains optimistic. The medical staff did not detect a serious muscle injury and believes it is merely a strain, so they hope he can return to training normally before the match on Sunday.

On the other hand, there is another key player who worked differently: Pedro Porro. The Tottenham full-back, scorer of the second goal against France, also shows muscle fatigue after the significant physical effort made to contain the French attacks. Like Yamal, his presence in the final is not expected to be compromised.

With three days ahead before the decisive clash, the coaching staff led by De la Fuente will closely monitor the progress of both players, although the goal is for them to arrive in peak condition for the match against the Albiceleste in search of Spain's second World Cup title in history.
