The leftist organization Amnesty International released a statement in recent hours in which it defends mass immigration to Argentina and the access of foreigners to rights and services paid for by Argentinians.
Through its account on the social network X, the organization stated that “Argentina is a land of welcome, refuge, and rights. And all people can be part of it, no matter where they come from.”
In that same message, it argued that there is “a tradition of openness to the world that is written in our laws and that was built by millions of people who came from all over.”

The statement emphasizes that, “since 1853, the Constitution addresses ‘all the men of the world who wish to inhabit Argentine soil’," although it avoided mentioning Article 25, which clearly establishes that the federal government must promote the arrival of immigrants from Europe.
In this regard, the organization highlighted various historical processes related to immigration. “Argentina also welcomed those fleeing persecution and dictatorships. Millions of Italians and also Spaniards exiled from the Civil War. And, more recently, families fleeing war in countries like Syria and Ukraine,” it expressed.
The statement also focuses on access to public services. “Argentina also opens its excellent universities, its prestigious hospitals, and its system of rights to those who choose to live here. Our history is not one of closing doors. It is one of opening them and recognizing rights,” it affirmed.
Illegal immigrants
Furthermore, the leftist organization accuses Argentinians of being racist, despite being the only country in the region that allows foreigners to access public services for free, although reforms are currently underway to correct that historical mistake.
“In Argentina, there is racism and discrimination. Recognizing and combating them is essential. But reducing the country to a stereotype erases all of that. We undoubtedly have many challenges ahead. Even so, we are at the forefront of multiple advances that guarantee rights to all people in the world who wish to inhabit this land,” says the statement.
The message from the international leftist organization, which insists on opening borders and allowing unrestricted access to rights, thus fits into an agenda that seeks to promote mass illegal immigration in Argentina, a dangerous and destructive idea, considering the consequences it has generated in Europe.
