The bank employees will have a new salary increase in August 2026. The initial salary in the sector will exceed $2.5 million with the agreed update.
The Banking Association reported a rise of 2.1% for July, which will be paid in August. With this increase, workers accumulate a 19.3% increase in the first seven months of the year.
The new agreement establishes the income for a worker who is just starting in the activity. The amount includes the basic salary and profit sharing.
Initial basic salary: $2,463,757.68.
Profit sharing (ROE): $71,219.54.
Total initial salary: $2,534,977.22.
The update applies to gross, monthly, normal, and usual remuneration. It also includes remunerative and non-remunerative concepts, in addition to the additional payments established in the collective labor agreement.
According to the union, this amount will be updated according to future salary increases agreed upon in the coming months.
The Banking Association reaffirmed the update mechanism for the coming months. The goal stated by the union is to protect the purchasing power of workers.
August 2026: the same salary update mechanism and the same scope applied so far will be maintained.
September 2026: the parties will negotiate again during the second half of the month to define the salary guidelines for the last stage of the year.
