The best-selling cars of August included the Toyota Yaris Cross and the Ford Territory among the main registered models.

According to data from ACARA, the Argentine market recorded 44,415 registrations during August, a 19.1% decrease year-on-year.

The Toyota Yaris Cross was the model with the most registrations in August, with 1,619 units. In second place was the Ford Territory, with 1,601.

The third place went to the Fiat Cronos, which recorded 1,490 units. The ranking of the main models was as follows:

    In the first eight months of 2026, 385,091 units were registered, a 13.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2025, when 444,256 vehicles were registered.

    The president of ACARA, Sebastián Beato, noted that the market is experiencing selective demand and highlighted the work of the value chain to contain the year-on-year decline.

    Beato also stated that if economic activity continues to grow, the sector could receive a higher number of operations and mentioned that they are working on a new mobility offer with more associated services.
