The Chief of Staff, Diego Santilli, received the governor of San Luis, Claudio Poggi, this Monday at the Casa Rosada in a working meeting aimed at strengthening coordination between the national government and the province.

During the meeting, both officials reviewed the shared agenda between the Nation and San Luis and analyzed the main legislative projects promoted by President Javier Milei's administration.

They agreed on the need to eliminate the PASO

One of the main topics discussed was the electoral reform pushed by the national government. Both Santilli and Poggi agreed on the importance of Congress approving the elimination of the Open, Simultaneous, and Mandatory Primaries (PASO).

The ruling party argues that eliminating the PASO will reduce public spending, simplify the electoral calendar, and avoid elections that, in many cases, function solely as an internal party process funded by all taxpayers.

They also supported the reform of the Central Bank's Organic Charter

Another project that received support from both leaders was the reform of the Organic Charter of the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), an initiative considered key within the economic program of Javier Milei's government.

The modification aims to strengthen monetary stability and move towards a framework that limits deficit financing through issuance, one of the main objectives of the current administration to consolidate the disinflation process.

San Luis requested the transfer of a section of the former National Route 7

In addition to the legislative projects, Governor Claudio Poggi raised the need to advance with the transfer to the province of the route of the former National Route No. 7, in the area known as Avenida José Santos Ortiz.

The request is part of the infrastructure agenda agreed upon by both administrations and aims to facilitate the management and maintenance of that road corridor by the provincial government.
