Six series and two movies begin filming in the second half of the year, while the platform confirms monthly premieres until the end of the year and a busy schedule for 2027
Netflix continues to make a strong bet on the Argentine audiovisual industry In the second half of 2026, filming will begin on eight new local productions: six series and two films. At the same time, the platform is preparing to release confirmed titles month by month until the end of the year.
Juliana Moreno, content director of Netflix Argentina, highlighted the creative potential of the country. “Argentina has extraordinary creative capacity, and these eight productions reflect our ambition to push its limits: explore genres, discover new voices and talents, and support great creators in telling unique stories that surprise, move, and can travel far beyond our borders. We deeply believe in the creative power of this country and want to create stories that are worthy of that talent,” she stated.
Among the series that will begin filming is Sangre, a story of revenge, secrets, and forbidden loves. The cast is led by Julieta Cardinali, Pablo Echarri, Macarena Achaga, and José Giménez Zapiola, with a special participation by César Troncoso.

Plata quemada will also be filmed, based on the novel by Ricardo Piglia. The tale of a violent robbery and a love taken to the limit will feature Agustín Della Corte, Lautaro Bettoni, Matías Recalt, Juan Ingaramo, Chiara Parravicini, Diego Cremonesi, and Juana Somoza.
New stories and familiar faces
La Torre will follow the criminal adventure of two young brothers. Byron Barbieri, Canela Arregui, and Eleonora Wexler lead a cast marked by the ensemble nature and freshness of its younger performers.
Jimena Barón, Candela Vetrano, and Muriel Santa Ana star in El amor es otra cosa, a comedy anchored in tenderness and unexpected friendships. Filming for this series began last week.
Netflix Argentina doubles down with new local productions
The city will be set in Rosario, Santa Fe, and will explore family ties, faith in football, and life in the La Granada neighborhood. The production, led by Pampa Films, was created and written by Javier Gómez Santander —known for his work on La Casa de Papel— along with Nahuel Gallotta, author of the book “Te hice Pica.”
In the coming months, two films will also enter production. Ümana, a family comedy about human sensitivity in times of technological acceleration, will star Natalia Oreiro and Alex Pelao. Volver a brillar, a romantic comedy that celebrates the craft of acting, will feature Adrián Suar and Dolores Fonzi.
Confirmed seasons and premieres
The third season of En el barro began filming in July. Ana Garibaldi, Valentina Zenere, Lorena Vega, Carolina Ramírez, and Érika de Sautu Riestra return, with special appearances by Juana Molina and María Becerra. Camila Platee and Susy Shock also join the cast.
After the success of Moria and the recent release of the documentary Fito Páez: el mundo cabe en una canción, Netflix has scheduled a new Argentine story each month until December. On September 24, Mis muertos tristes, the miniseries by Pablo Larraín based on stories by Mariana Enriquez, which was part of the Official Competition at the San Sebastián Festival, will premiere.

On October 16, Lo dejamos acá, the film featuring Ricardo Darín and Diego Peretti about a therapist and a patient whose relationship takes unexpected turns, will premiere. It will also have its world premiere in San Sebastián. In November, Gordon, the thriller by Pablo Trapero and Pablo Fendrik inspired by real events and starring Rodrigo de la Serna, will be released. To close the year, in December, Felicidades, a comedy with Griselda Siciliani and Adrián Suar directed by Álex de la Iglesia, will premiere.
The 2027 agenda already includes titles such as Amor rodante, Crimen desorganizado, the third season of En el barro, El mundo según Jonás, El sobrino, Mafalda, a documentary about Gustavo Cerati, Perfecta: La voz de Silvina Luna, a series by Sebastián Borensztein, Tiempo al tiempo, and Villaflor. With this battery of projects, Netflix reinforces its commitment to Argentine stories and talent.
