Inter Miami continues to strengthen a squad full of stars, and this Tuesday confirmed the signing of Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder, with a distinguished career at Real Madrid and Manchester United, arrives as a free agent and signed a contract until the end of the 2027 MLS season, with an option to extend the deal until June 2029.
The five-time Champions League champion will join the team coached by Guillermo Hoyos once he obtains his P-1 visa and will share the squad with Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba in one of the most star-studded teams in American soccer.
After his signing was made official, Casemiro explained what convinced him to accept the challenge of playing in MLS. "What motivates me the most, and I think this is true for all players, is to win and keep growing. The project that the Club presented to me, along with the effort that everyone made to bring me here, means a lot to me", the Brazilian expressed.
Additionally, the midfielder thanked the trust he received from the institution and assured that he will seek to respond both on and off the field. "I am incredibly grateful and eager to start so that I can live up to that trust, not only during the 90 minutes of the match but also every day in training. I can only say thank you, and I will give my all to repay the affection and trust that the Club has shown me", he added.
The management also celebrated the signing. Owner Jorge Mas stated that the signing "reflects the vision and ambition that define Inter Miami" and emphasized that Casemiro "embodies everything this club represents: leadership, a winning mentality, and an extraordinary career at the highest level".
