The tech billionaire Peter Thiel will relocate to live in Argentina, enchanted by Argentina and the policies of the Government of Javier Milei, reflecting the growing international appeal of the libertarian direction.
In recent weeks, Thiel not only participated in everyday activities in the city of Buenos Aires, such as a chess tournament at the traditional local club, but also made significant decisions that mark a significant life change. The entrepreneur left his residences in Los Angeles and Miami to settle in the Argentine capital.
During this period, the tech founder held direct meetings with President Milei and members of his cabinet, consolidating a political and ideological relationship.

He also acquired a property in one of the city's most exclusive neighborhoods and organized private meetings with local economists, where he even addressed personal and philosophical topics.
The search for a new home
According to people close to him, Thiel views Argentina as a strategic alternative in the face of an uncertain global scenario.
The combination of international tensions, risks such as nuclear war and the development of artificial intelligence, along with regulatory changes in the United States, are part of his concerns. In this context, the South American country appears as a viable option within his vision of a “plan B.”
The shift towards Argentina is also linked to his concern about the direction of the United States, particularly in California, where an initiative is being debated that could impose a significant tax on billionaires.
In response, the entrepreneur intensified his search for alternatives outside that state and began to seriously consider relocating to Buenos Aires about a year ago.
