Lionel Scaloni experienced an emotional moment again before a match of the Argentine National Team. In the press conference before the match against Algeria, the coach from Santa Fe reunited with Djalminha, his former teammate at Deportivo La Coruña, and they shared a heartfelt exchange filled with affection and memories.
The Brazilian, who now works as an analyst on a channel in his country, had already visited Scaloni on Thursday. This time he took the microphone to wish “all the luck in the world” to the Albiceleste. The coach's response came quickly and surprised everyone with its warmth.
“I care about you a lot. This is a Brazilian teammate, of which I have had many, and he is a great friend,” Scaloni said, highlighting the good relationship he has always maintained with Brazilian players throughout his career.
The rivalry stays on the field
Taking advantage of the moment, the Argentine coach expressed an unusual wish in the classic rivalry between the two countries: “I like that a Brazilian cheers for Argentina, the rivalry is only football-related. And when Argentina is not there, why not think that Brazil does well?”
