What the CEO of Xbox said about The Elder Scrolls 6
Asha Sharma posted on Twitter that on the morning of August 11, she attended a live gameplay of The Elder Scrolls 6.
The executive described the scale and magnitude of the game as “incredible”. She also particularly emphasized its story, which she considered even more important than the size of the production.
The message also included eight asterisks, a detail that led some users to speculate about the possibility that The Elder Scrolls 6 already has a subtitle.

The Elder Scrolls 6 still does not have a release date
Since its first official presentation in 2018, Bethesda Game Studios has shared few details about The Elder Scrolls 6.

The game entered active development after the release of Starfield in 2023. Although Bethesda experienced some staff losses during the layoffs in July, the internal planning of the RPG was mostly affected.
Nonetheless, some employees of Bethesda Game Studios left their positions as a result of that restructuring.

What graphics engine will The Elder Scrolls 6 use
The director and producer of Bethesda, Todd Howard, revealed in late July that The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 will use Creation Engine 3.

The engine will replace the Creation Engine 2 used in Starfield. According to Howard, the new technology allows for the development of stable versions that can undergo internal testing.
Unlike The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, made with Unreal Engine 5 by Bethesda and Virtuos, The Elder Scrolls 6 is being developed with technology proprietary to Bethesda.
Will The Elder Scrolls 6 be exclusive to Xbox?
Bethesda has not yet confirmed whether The Elder Scrolls 6 will come to platforms outside the Microsoft ecosystem.

During Asha Sharma's tenure as CEO of Xbox, the company has shown renewed interest in some console exclusives. Among the upcoming releases mentioned are Clockwork Revolution and Gears of War: E-Day.
In contrast, Halo: Campaign Evolved will have a simultaneous release on PS5, PC, and Xbox consoles. The precedent of Skyrim, which debuted on multiple platforms in 2011, also leaves the possibility open for The Elder Scrolls 6.
