The General Directorate of Consumer Defense and Commercial Loyalty of Córdoba initiated a legal action ex officio against the airline Flybondi due to the repeated cancellations of scheduled flights in the province. Local authorities demanded that the airline provide real solutions to those affected, detail the reasons for the disruptions, and refund the money. The official resolution is based on the articles of Provincial Law 10.247 and National Law 24.240 aimed at regulating user protection.
Administrative files will be directly referred to the legal department if the company does not attend the mandatory commercial conciliation meetings. The state agency would charge alleged violations of the duty to provide truthful information, grant dignified treatment to passengers, and breach of contract. The General Director of Consumer Defense and Commercial Loyalty of Córdoba, Ariel Juri, stated: "In light of the large number of complaints received and the uncertainty faced by passengers, we initiated an ex officio action to demand concrete answers from the company and protect the rights of Córdoba consumers."
The intervention of the provincial government occurred after a 60% increase in the number of complaints received during the current month of July was confirmed. The public agency is actively processing about 60 formal complaints submitted by individual users who were affected by the airline's cancellations. Additionally, a request was sent to the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC) to audit Flybondi's capabilities.
