The future of Emiliano "Dibu" Martínez is once again becoming one of the highlighted topics in the European transfer market. Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti confirmed that the world champion is on the list of reinforcements being considered by the Italian club.
The coach emphasized the qualities of the Argentine goalkeeper and acknowledged that the clubis seriously analyzing his incorporation to strengthen a position they consider key for the upcoming season.
Spalletti also referred to the contractual situation of the Mar del Plata native and stated that the player himself intends to leave Aston Villa in this market.
"Dibu Martínez is a great goalkeeper and a player who wants to leave his team this summer. We are interested in him because we are looking for competition in the goalkeeper position, although we currently have two great goalkeepers," said the coach.
Additionally, he acknowledged that the negotiation will not be easy due to the complexity of the transfer market, although he emphasized that the management continues to work to find alternatives that will allow for new signings.
The interest in Martínez responds to the renewal process that the Vecchia Signora is undergoing after a season below expectations.
The Turin team finished sixth in Serie A, a result that left them out of the next edition of the UEFA Champions League and will force them to compete in the Europa League.
