President Donald Trump warned this Wednesday that Canada, led by globalist Prime Minister Mark Carney, is being ruined by uncontrolled immigration, and that the country is facing increasingly severe problems such as unemployment.
"Canada is destroying itself by allowing millions and millions of people into the country, essentially without control or verification, and they are causing problems that will soon be too big to handle. In that post, the president shares a video of Victor Davis Hanson, a political commentator who describes the tariff war being waged by Carney against the United States as a fantasy, warned that the Prime Minister's "leftist nationalism" will ultimately harm Canadians.
Hanson argues that Canada's economy relies too much on immigration and is vulnerable to a trade war with the United States. He also dismisses the idea that Washington should bear the defense costs of Canada considering that the superpower has a trade deficit with its northern neighbor.
Finally, Hanson describes Carney's pursuit of closer ties with European Union bureaucrats as a costly and anti-American gamble. It is worth noting that the unemployment rate in the northern country was 6.4% in August, unchanged from July, although employment fell by 42,000 jobs that month.
In recent days, rumors have emerged that Carney would be willing to provide refuge to Haitian immigrants who lost their Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and can no longer live in the United States for this reason. While Canada has a significant Haitian community, particularly in Montreal, crossing the border does not automatically grant access to its asylum system.
