According to the U.S. government, the leaders of the superpowers discussed "ways to enhance economic cooperation between our two countries, including expanding market access for U.S. companies in China and increasing Chinese investment in our industries."
Trump and Xi also "emphasized the need to leverage advancements to stop the flow of fentanyl precursors into the United States" and to "increase Chinese purchases of U.S. agricultural products." Notably, Xi Jinping expressed interest in buying U.S. oil to reduce China's dependence on the Middle East, a region currently in conflict.
In this regard, speaking about the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz and the war in Iran, the leader of the Chinese regime expressed his opposition to the Iranian terrorist regime closing the Strait and to the possibility of charging a toll for passing through the key maritime route. Xi agreed with Trump that "Iran will never be able to have a nuclear weapon."

Xi committed to not providing military assistance to Iran
Xi made other commitments for his country to purchase liquefied natural gas (LNG) and other energy products from the U.S., along with goods like soybeans and Boeing airplanes. Trump left the meeting with his Chinese counterpart satisfied, recalling that China has not purchased U.S. oil since May 2025 and that this reality will likely change in the coming months.
In an interview with Fox News journalist Sean Hannity after the summit, Trump confirmed that Xi offered to help with security in the Strait of Hormuz and to resolve the crisis in Iran. "President Xi would like to reach an agreement. He really would. And he offered. He said, 'If I can be of any help, I would like to help,'" the president stated.
Additionally, the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China promised not to provide military support to Iran. "We discussed it. I mean, when you say support, they are not waging a war with us or anything like that. He said he will not deliver military equipment. That is an important statement," Trump detailed to Hannity.
