President Donald Trump announced this Sunday that he will meet with Janeese Lewis George, the Democratic Party candidate who is positioned as the favorite to win the mayoralty of Washington DC in the November elections, to ensure that all the progress made to make the capital "safe and beautiful" again is not "destroyed by a communist activist".
Janeese Lewis George, a politician who openly identifies as a communist, won the primary elections earlier this month to replace the current mayor Muriel Bowser, who will step down at the end of her third term. The young candidate will face Robert Gross from the Green Party in November in a contest she is almost certain to win.
During her campaign, George promised to defund the police and end the cooperation of DC law enforcement with federal immigration authorities. She also indicated that she will work to pass legislation granting Washington DC statehood.
A few weeks ago, Trump threatened to federalize the capital again if the communist politician won the election. "Maybe we will take back Washington and manage it at the federal level. We will not tolerate it. We will not lose our businesses," the president stated.

Trump's Words
"Janeese Lewis George, the communist who is almost certain to be elected mayor of Washington D.C., declared that she wants to empty the prisons, turn D.C. into a Sanctuary City, oppose ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), welcome back criminal illegal immigrants to our beloved capital, resist tough measures against crime, defund the police, continue and expand cashless bail, and so many other 'things' destructive to the capital," Trump wrote this Sunday in a post on Truth Social.
"In the end, it will never work, nor will I allow her the slightest chance, because I worked too hard to make Washington D.C. the envy of the world, almost crime-free and with an unparalleled beautification process," Trump continued. "I will meet with Janeese Lewis George, but I must warn everyone that Washington D.C. is to be a safe and prestigious community again."
"Many people, including myself, worked hard and for a long time to get it there, and we will not allow it to be destroyed by a communist activist who has no intentions of MAKING WASHINGTON GREAT AGAIN," the president concluded.
Last year, the Republican magnate signed an order declaring a "crime emergency" and invoking presidential powers to federalize the police and take control of the capital's security, deploying hundreds of federal agents and National Guard troops that made the city safer and cleaner
Trump warned that he will not allow the city to return to its former state
