Three days before the legislative elections in the United States, President Donald Trump announced this Sunday on his social media that in Kansas leftist groups were detected offering economic incentives to citizens to vote for the Democratic Party.
The information was shared by Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, who sent a letter on Saturday to Bluestem Kansas, a left-leaning nonprofit organization, ordering them to "immediately cease the delivery of incentives to voters related to the casting of votes in the general elections on November 3."
"Under K.S.A. 25-2409 of the state code, electoral bribery includes giving, offering, or agreeing to grant a benefit in exchange for voting in a public election. This is a level 7 felony. Additionally, federal law 52 U.S.C. § 10307(c) penalizes as a criminal offense paying or offering payments to anyone for voting in elections that include federal candidates," the local official specified in a statement.
