During a conference at the G7 summit in Évian, France, President Donald Trump said that he wishes for the United States, Russia, and China to seek a denuclearization agreement, noting that the three countries do not need arsenals capable of destroying the world multiple times.
These statements come weeks after Xi Jinping visited the capital of North Korea and urged rebuilding trust with dictator Kim Jong-un. In May, Trump visited Beijing and signed a declaration with his Chinese counterpart demanding the "denuclearization" of North Korea, a request that the sister of the North Korean dictator rejected.
Furthermore, in recent years, as a result of the war with Ukraine, the North Korean regime has become a close ally of Russia. In fact, Putin visited Pyongyang in 2024 and signed a mutual defense treaty with Kim, which led to the subsequent sending of North Korean soldiers to fight on the front lines in Ukraine.

Trump does not rule out bombing Iran again
In parallel to this initiative, Trump spoke about Iran and the memorandum of understanding negotiated in recent days with the Islamic regime, warning that if it is not "achieved in 60 days," bombings will resume. The president reiterated that he will never allow the Iranian regime to obtain a nuclear weapon.
