Journalists James O’Keefe and Cam Higby infiltrated a polling center dressed in Muslim attire to expose the unusual "voter vouching" system (voter vouching) that the Democratic Party implements in the state of Minnesota.

"Under Minnesota § 201.061, a registered voter can sign an affidavit stating that they know another person who resides in the same electoral district, allowing that person to register at the polls without presenting standard proof of residency. A registered voter can vouch for up to eight people", O’Keefe reported.

With O’Keefe wearing a robe and Higby in a black burka, the journalists managed to enter a polling center and began to inquire: "I have a question about the vouching program. I can vouch for them, but they are not registered." "Yes, that's fine," one of the workers replied.

Immediately, the poll worker told O'Keefe that, being registered and Muslim, he could bring up to eight people to vote without any additional checks. "If they are all in the same district and you are already registered, you can vouch for them as identification. Eight people. You are the identification", the election official explained. "I am the identification!" exclaimed O’Keefe in surprise.

Instead of addressing the issues with the "voter vouching" system and admitting that their state incurs vulnerabilities that facilitate electoral fraud to favor Democratic candidates, Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon threatened the journalists with legal action for doing their job and ordered security forces to investigate them.

"During the Minnesota primaries held on August 11, 2026, members of a Florida-based political group, widely discredited, visited several polling centers in Minneapolis posing as Minnesota voters. Dressed in what they called 'Muslim costumes' and imitating foreign accents, they falsely claimed to be registered voters in Minnesota," Simon stated in a press release.

"The group used hidden cameras to record their interactions with election workers and published a heavily edited video of their encounters. Their apparent goal was to sow doubt about one or more Minnesota election laws that have been in place for over fifty years [...] Workers reported these visits to local election officials, and security forces are reviewing the situation.

The misconduct of this group is outrageous and completely unacceptable. We have zero tolerance for lies, law violations, and disruptions at our polling centers."
