The Chief of the Gendarmerie denounced Marcela Pagano for slander and insult

The head of the Argentine National Gendarmerie, Claudio Miguel Brilloni, filed a complaint for slander and insult against the national deputy Marcela Marina Pagano, following a series of publications, with false content and information, made on the social network X. networks constitute a clear threat to the internal order and serious damage to the discipline

of the Force.

According to the court filing, Brilloni, in his capacity as the head of the force, explained that the first case took place on April 8, 2026 at 4:14 p.m., following a message published in Pagano's personal account.

In that post, the deputy said: “In the Gendarmerie 'there's no silver'... but only for junior personnel. While in the detachments they make 'the vaquita' to buy a bottle of water, there is $38 million for the coffee of Commander Brilloni, partner of the minister @AleMonteoliva Ajusté for those at the bottom. Privileges for the dome. These things happen when 'public controls' are resolved between 1000 threads. Good from Casta! Isn't this what we came to change, @JMilei? ”.

The complaint also mentions a second publication made on April 12, 2026 at 12:42 p.m., in which Pagano said: “The head of the Gendarmerie Brilloni, @AleMonteoliva's boyfriend, follows the same moral as @madorni: he spent US$ 2 million to buy berets, which were never used because even today the gendarme uniform requires a hat! The serious thing: he paid them $150,000 per unit, when the same local cap is worth $50,000. Where did this' overpricing 'go? To which pocket? #conlatuyacontribuyente”.

According to the letter submitted, Brilloni maintains that these statements constitute an “insulting and insulting” action, with “clear ironic and mendacious content”, aimed at “defaming my person and my management as Chief of the Argentine National Gendarmerie, as well as with respect to my private life”.

An attack against the Gendarmerie's chain of command

In this regard, the head of the force stated that the publications “systematically and repeatedly harass” his figure, using his name and that of the institution, and that they present “a clear and manifest criminal intent

”.

The complaint also states that the accusations can be framed as conduct defined in articles 109 and 110 of the Criminal Code. In addition, she points out that the deputy's expressions are aimed at “instigating the weakening of the chain of command”, affecting the institutional functioning of the force

.

In another section of the document, Brilloni argues that Pagano “intends to attribute to me the commission of the crimes of defrauding the public administration and abuse of authority”, referring to the mentions of alleged overpricing in purchases within the Gendarmerie.

The force leader also argued that these publications generate consequences beyond the institutional level. As he indicated, they cause “disturbances to my good name and honor”, as well as “serious alterations in my personal and family environment

”.

He also stated that these actions represent “a manifest threat to the internal order and a serious effect on the discipline of the Force”, promoting a narrative that negatively impacts the verticality and obedience of the staff.

Regarding his private life, Brilloni pointed out that references to an alleged personal relationship with the Minister of Security seek to install “a false conviction in society regarding me”, describing these sayings as “unfounded” and with “ironic and malicious overtones”.

Finally, the official requested that the conduct complained of be stopped, as it affected his honor and compromised the normal functioning of the institution.
